Transport Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to transport enquiries, quotations and vehicle arrangements made with Associated Trans Cargo. Final commercial terms may also be stated in the accepted quotation or booking communication.

1. Transport Enquiries & Quotations

Rates are prepared using the information supplied by the customer, including pickup and delivery points, cargo type, weight, dimensions, vehicle requirement, loading method and schedule. A quotation may change if any supplied detail changes or additional costs arise at the loading or delivery location.

2. Cargo Declaration

The customer must provide accurate information about the material, weight, dimensions, packaging, value and any special handling requirement. Hazardous, restricted, illegal or undeclared goods will not be accepted.

3. Vehicle Selection

Vehicle recommendations are based on information provided by the customer. Final suitability must be confirmed before loading. Cargo must remain within applicable legal weight and dimensional limits.

4. Loading & Unloading

Unless specifically included in writing, labour, crane, forklift, loading, unloading, packing, lashing and site access arrangements are the customer’s responsibility. Waiting or detention beyond the agreed free period may be charged separately.

5. Transit & Delivery

Transit estimates are indicative and may be affected by traffic, weather, road closures, government restrictions, breakdown, strikes, force majeure or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

6. Insurance & Liability

Customers should arrange appropriate transit insurance for valuable cargo unless insurance is expressly included in the accepted quotation. Claims must be notified promptly with supporting documents and photographs.

7. Payment

Payment terms, advance requirements, applicable taxes and credit conditions will be stated in the quotation or invoice. Delayed payment may result in additional charges or suspension of further vehicle placement.

8. Cancellation

Cancellation after vehicle dispatch or placement may attract cancellation, empty-run, detention or related charges depending on the distance travelled and costs incurred.
